The HVCA Annual General Meeting was held on 19th November 2025 at 7.30pm.
Our AGM is a chance to learn more about what we do, and why and how we do it. We review the past year’s activities, finances, wins and ‘could-do-better’s. We consider on how the year’s achievements have reflected our Mission, Vision and Values, and share our plans for the coming year.
Our Chair Debra Mendes oversaw the confirmation of our new Trustees, Lynne Brackley and Diarmid O’Sullivan. to our Management Committee (Board) and outlined how we are working with a continued focus on provision of charitable free or low-cost services that benefit our local community. Plans outlined at last years meeting were revisited, with good progress made in our provision of activities and drop-ins for our community elders, with a particular focus on those living with health conditions such as Parkinson’s. We have also established a regular free ‘youth club’ for teens and young adults on Saturday evenings.

Looking ahead, we would like to bridge the gap between these projects with intergenerational projects and family focused services, especially for those in hardship.
We very much welcome locals who would like to know a bit more about what we do and how the Centre is run at these meetings, and this year we were particularly pleased to have in attendance volunteers, hirers and neighbours. We hope to share our love and enthusiasm for HVCA and believe that our AGM provides a useful forum for the existing Trustees, staff, hirers, volunteers and neighbours to meet (sometimes for the first time!) and exchange ideas.
Thank you to everyone who attended on 19th November; we value your presence and your input.
