Ageing Well with Hornsey Vale
We are excited to invite you to join us for a full timetable with something for everyone.
From Tai Chi to sumptuous lunches. From gong baths to Nordic walking, Hornsey Vale has revamped the Ageing Well programme for local Over 50s and you are sure to find something to suit you. Meet people, create something, enjoy homemade food, get some exercise. It’s all on offer at Hornsey Vale in 2026.
Mondays
From 11.30am – Community Soup Café – No need to book, just drop in any time between 11.30am and 2pm and enjoy a delicious bowl of homemade soup. Find out more here: Community Soup Café
On Monday 9th and 23rd, volunteers from The Muswell Hill Practice will be offering free blood pressure checks at the community café.
From 2pm – Nordic Walking – Join James to learn how to walk with poles alongside gentle exercises to promote balance. Part of London Borough of Haringey ‘People Need Parks’ initiative. Tuesdays
Parkinson’s Moves & Mix
12pm to 2pm – Parkinson’s Moves and Mix – a dance based activity for people with Parkinson’s and their partners, followed by an hour of socialising. Wednesdays
Every Wednesday (apart from Lunch Club) we will have various drop -in activities in the Main Hall alongside our programme in the Small Hall – socialising, board games, table tennis, and refreshments.
Drop ins take place between 12pm and 2.30pm.
1st Wednesday – Lunch Club – A 2 course meal prepared by a professional chef, £5 in advance or £7 on the day. You can see more information and how to book by clicking here: Lunch Club

3rd Wednesday – Relaxation and well being – Gong Bath Sound Therapy Session with Gongfree creator, Joanne. Booking required.

Thursdays
1st & 3rd Thursday 2-4pm – The Starling Grief Tending Circle returns for a new cycle of sessions. To find out more, please visit Starling Grief Tending Circle
Thursday 19th March –Taiji (Tai Chi) with Sam Ma, Taiji and Qi Gong master, who will guide you through gentle flowing movements with deep breathing and a mediative focus.
Thursday 26th March – Acupuncture – Sam Ma offers his services as a fully qualified Acupuncturist.

Fridays
1pm to 2pm – Chair Yoga – Join Jim for an hour of chair based Yoga and relaxation.
Jim has been practicing and teaching for over 20 years and has a unique approach to helping stimulate the body and mind to feel good and healthy. He layers yoga, self massage (great for the immune system), breathwork and relaxation techniques together to form a holistic session, designed to ease and de-stress the body.
There’s always a lot of laughter too. Come by and check it out. The first session is free.
2pm to 3pm – Candy’s Dance Stars – Dance your way to fitness with Candy. Fun and upbeat guided dance and movement sessions suitable for all abilities.
