Hire our space

We have a range of rooms available for occasional or regular hire, with capacities from two to 200. Whether you’re organising a children’s party, a dance or art class, or an informal meeting, if it permissible within government guidelines we will try to help. Whilst the pandemic lasts, we are a Covid-secure workplace and continue to support fully risk-assessed activity by a range of partners, including disability charities.

From 24 July 2021, we will hope to welcome back small children’s parties, with the following maximum numbers:

  • Birthdays, ages up to 5 years: maximum 20 children, plus 15 adults, plus one professional entertainer
  • Birthdays, ages 6-11: maximum 30 children, plus 5 adults, plus one professional entertainer.

Alcohol will not be permitted at these children’s parties. Whilst we will take bookings for the period to December, please be aware that government Covid-19 restrictions may change at any time, and HVCA reserves the right to change its policy on parties, which may affect your event. If an event is cancelled as a direct result of changed Government guidance we will offer a full refund.

We can provide you with child- and adult-sized chairs and tables for your event. It is up to you to set them out as you would like, to put them away and bag your rubbish. We encourage you to use recycled and recyclable materials. You are welcome to hire our kitchen with cookers, fridges, microwave and water heater, however, we do not hire catering equipment.

Occasionally, during times that are otherwise quieter, we let space to commercial companies or filming units to help cover our costs and subsidise community activity. We were recently the crew base for the ITV production Too Close – did you recognise Stationer’s Park? Contact us for our commercial rate card.

For more information about our rooms and prices, see the diagram below and spaces available. Please contact our office team with queries: info@hornseyvale.org; 020 8348 4612.

Trustees plan to review our position on adult parties at our July and September 2021 meeting.
