What our attendees are saying about Moves and Mix

“Big recommendation for the Parkinson’s dance class. We started very gently sitting down and finished in a 70s disco. Excellent teacher.” L

“Very nice class with warm up in chair and then standing and using nice space with music to dance to different rhythms. A good workout. … very nice teacher too!” M

“The Dance class was fabulous! I didn’t think I had that much fluidity in me. If you like dance and moving, I highly recommend it. Thanks to all that organised the sessions.” Br

“An easy and enjoyable way to exercise” MH

“The most enjoyable way to combat Parkinson’s” BB

“The freedom to dance and have fun. I leave the group smiling.”

“They make me feel like a teenager out at a bop!”

From the organisers: “Participants to the Parkinson’s Dance class and Social have commented highly favourably on the welcoming set up of the rooms (with tables with water and biscuits, tea or coffee) and the fact that it is combined with a social time after the activity, that allows them to relax and chat. They also express their appreciation of the fact that the activity is open to partners/carers, which is something that positively distinguishes it from other activities offered to people living with PD.”
