Aman Kaiser, interviewed for Volunteers’ Week 2021

Lunch club’s on the move

Our monthly lunch club is legendary for its warm inclusiveness and great food. We miss it enormously.

As a small gesture towards the elders in our community, we have taken lunch club on the road and increased the service. Once a week, we safely deliver a delicious main course (that can be heated up and enjoyed at any time) to 25 households in Hornsey, Stroud Green and Crouch End, mainly people living alone or shielding.

We’re grateful to Hornsey Parochial Charities for a grant of £2000 to help support the costs and to our wonderful volunteers who incorporate doorstep deliveries into their daily walks.
