The last week of August is always a busy one for Hornsey Vale: our annual Maintenance Week brings volunteers to the centre to do those jobs that are simply too difficult to manage while the centre is open—painting, cleaning furniture, reorganising storage and having a good old cleanup!
The week concludes with a routine deep clean for the centre, which means everything will be looking fresh and clean for the new term. It’s a good time to remind everyone using the centre that it takes a lot of effort to keep an ageing building functioning safely and looking good, so we ask that everyone using the centre respects it and helps us keep it looking smart. A big thank you to everyone who has given their precious time and energy this week: we appreciate all of you very much.
We also thank our team of deep cleaning experts who have spent two days dusting, washing, wiping, polishing and otherwise freshening up the centre with very good humour while they worked around us!
